From routine inspections and maintenance to complete brake system repairs and replacements, we offer a range of expert brake services. Using state-of-the-art diagnostic tools, we assess the condition of your brake components, including brake pads, rotors, calipers, and brake lines. Rest assured that we only use high-quality, OEM-approved parts to ensure top-notch performance and durability.

If you have any doubts regarding the current condition of your brakes, please give us a call! The common symptoms of a faulty brake system include a feeling that brake pulls when you push the pedal, a pulsing sensation in the brake pedal, a grinding sound or wheels coated with brake dust. Apex Automotive specializes in brake repair and service. Our team can diagnose and repair a wide variety of brake problems efficiently and quickly.

Brake Inspections

We offer thorough brake inspections to ensure the safety and reliability of your vehicle’s braking system. Our skilled technicians will carefully examine all components of your brakes to assess their condition and identify any potential issues. Here’s what our brake inspection entails:

Visual Inspection: Our technicians will visually inspect the brake components, including brake pads, rotors, calipers, brake lines, and brake fluid reservoir. We’ll look for any signs of wear, damage, or leakage that could affect the braking performance.

Measurement of Brake Pad Thickness: We’ll measure the thickness of the brake pads to determine their remaining life. Worn brake pads may compromise your vehicle’s stopping power and require replacement.

Rotor Inspection: We’ll inspect the brake rotors for any signs of warping, uneven wear, or scoring. Damaged or worn-out rotors can result in reduced braking efficiency and may need resurfacing or replacement.

Brake Caliper Assessment: Our technicians will inspect the brake calipers for proper operation, ensuring they are not sticking or causing uneven pressure on the brake pads. Malfunctioning calipers can lead to uneven brake wear or a spongy brake pedal feel.

Brake Line and Hose Inspection: We’ll check the brake lines and hoses for any leaks, cracks, or damage that could compromise the brake fluid pressure or cause brake failure. Damaged lines or hoses will need to be repaired or replaced promptly.

Brake Fluid Analysis: We’ll assess the condition and level of the brake fluid in the reservoir. Brake fluid that is contaminated or low may indicate a leak or the need for a fluid flush and replacement.

Test Drive and Brake Performance Evaluation: To ensure the overall functionality of your brakes, our technicians may perform a test drive to evaluate the braking system’s performance, responsiveness, and noise levels.

Our skilled technicians specialize in a comprehensive range of brake repairs to ensure optimal performance and safety for your vehicle. Whether it’s replacing worn brake pads, replacing damaged rotors, repairing or replacing faulty brake calipers, or addressing issues with brake lines or hoses, we have you covered. We understand the critical role brakes play in your safety on the road, and our team is committed to delivering exceptional brake repair services. Trust us to diagnose and address any brake-related issues promptly, restoring the reliability and effectiveness of your braking system. With our expertise and attention to detail, you can have confidence in your vehicle’s brakes, knowing they have been professionally repaired at Apex Automotive.

Fluid Service

Over time, brake fluid can become contaminated, leading to reduced brake performance and potential safety hazards. Our skilled technicians will perform a comprehensive brake fluid service, which includes draining the old fluid, inspecting the brake lines for leaks or damage, and filling the system with fresh, high-quality brake fluid that meets manufacturer specifications. This service helps maintain proper brake hydraulic pressure, prevents moisture buildup, and extends the lifespan of brake components. By keeping your brake fluid clean and at the right level, we ensure optimal braking performance and enhance your overall safety on the road.

Brake fluid is unique compared to all of the other fluids in your vehicle. It is “Hygroscopic” which is unique because it is a “dry fluid” that absorbs the moisture in the system. This is designed to keep the moisture/water content out of the system because it lowers the boiling point of the fluid in which could diminish the braking performance under heavy use situations. Though, even if you are an easy braking driver, this fluid is still absorbing moisture and becomes corrosive to the internal components of the braking system. This can cause deterioration of common components like brake calipers, wheel cylinders, ABS components etc. The best thing that anyone can do to prevent this corrosion and deterioration is to change/flush out the brake fluid system, regardless of usage every 24 months.

Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS) Service

The ABS (Anti-Lock Braking System) is a crucial safety feature that helps prevent wheels from locking up during sudden braking or on slippery surfaces, allowing you to maintain steering control. Our skilled technicians will diagnose and address any ABS-related issues, including ABS warning light illuminations, abnormal braking behavior, or loss of ABS functionality. We utilize advanced diagnostic tools to pinpoint the problem, whether it’s a faulty sensor, hydraulic pump, or control module. With our expertise and state-of-the-art equipment, we’ll perform the necessary repairs or replacements to restore the proper functioning of your ABS.

Brake Inspection
Regular brake inspections help you avoid unexpected expenses and keep your vehicle running smoothly. At Apex Automotive, your brake inspection includes:

  • Visual Inspection: Brake components, including pads, rotors, calipers, lines and the fluid reservoir, are carefully examined for signs of wear, damage or leakage that could impact braking performance.

  • Brake Pad Thickness Measurement: Brake pad thickness is measured to assess their remaining lifespan. Worn brake pads may compromise your vehicle’s stopping power and require replacement.

  • Rotor Inspection: Brake rotors are checked for warping, uneven wear or scoring. Worn or damaged rotors can decrease braking efficiency and may require replacement.

  • Brake Caliper Assessment: Brake calipers are examined to ensure they operate correctly without sticking or applying uneven pressure to the pads. Malfunctioning calipers can cause uneven brake wear or a spongy pedal feel.

  • Brake Line and Hose Inspection: Brake lines and hoses are examined for leaks, cracks or damage that could compromise brake fluid pressure or lead to brake failure. Identifying such issues helps ensure timely repairs or replacements as needed.

  • Brake Fluid Analysis: The condition and level of the brake fluid are evaluated to detect contamination or low levels, which may signal a leak or the need for a fluid flush and replacement.

  • Test Drive and Brake Performance Evaluation: To ensure the overall functionality of your brakes, our technicians may perform a test drive to evaluate the braking system’s performance, responsiveness and noise levels.

Brake Pad Replacement
Over time, brake pads naturally wear down, which can affect your vehicle’s stopping power. Our technicians thoroughly evaluate your brake pads and replace them with high-quality parts. This ensures smooth and reliable braking performance, giving you confidence every time you hit the road.

Rotor Replacement
Brake rotors are essential for effective braking, providing a smooth surface for the brake pads to grip and stop your vehicle. Worn or damaged rotors can decrease braking efficiency and lead to longer stopping distances. Replacing your rotors ensures smooth and reliable braking performance, giving you peace of mind with every stop.

Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS)
The Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS) helps you maintain control during hard braking, especially on slippery or uneven surfaces. It prevents your wheels from locking up, allowing you to steer while braking hard. If your ABS isn’t functioning properly, you risk losing control in emergency situations. Regular diagnostics and repairs keep your ABS functioning so you can confidently handle emergencies and challenging driving conditions.

Signs You Need Brake Service ASAP

Unusual sounds or changes in braking performance might signal underlying issues with your braking system. Prompt attention to these signs helps prevent more serious problems. Ensuring timely repairs maintains the safety and reliability of your vehicle.

Squeaking or Grinding Noises
These noises typically indicate worn brake pads or other issues within the braking system. Ignoring them can lead to reduced braking efficiency, increased stopping distances and potential brake failure. Continued use of worn-out brakes can cause damage to other components, such as the rotors, leading to more costly repairs and compromising your vehicle’s safety.

Vibration When Braking
Feel a vibration or pulsation when you press the brake pedal? This could signal warped rotors, which can affect your vehicle’s braking performance. Taking action to resolve this can prevent additional damage to your rotors and brake pads, save you from more expensive repairs and, most importantly, keep you and those around you safe on the road.

Longer Stopping Distances
If you find yourself needing more distance to come to a complete stop, it’s likely due to worn or deteriorating brake components. This reduced braking power can seriously impact your ability to react quickly to sudden stops or hazards. Our team can accurately diagnose the problem and perform necessary repairs to restore your vehicle’s stopping power.
